Established in 1957, Motor Books is the oldest motoring bookseller in the world specialising in motoring and motorsport. Over the years the shop expanded its operation to cover railway, aviation, maritime and military subjects.
Motor Books offers a vast array of titles in the shop catering for all tastes and interests, including brand new and collectable out of print titles. To keep ahead of the game, we have our online store that is updated daily with new and upcoming titles and our database holds over 35,000 books and DVDs.
Saying that, nothing beats the real thing when it comes to books, so coming to the shop in Cecil Court won’t be a wasted trip. All our staff are enthusiasts and extremely passionate about their chosen subjects. You will always feel welcome and receive expert advice in deciding your purchase.
London- and especially Cecil Court- is a fantastic location for our shop, but we fully understand that you may not be able to visit the shop every time. For this reason we offer a very safe and secure world-wide mail order service.
The shop moved to Cecil Court in 2007 after celebrating its 50th anniversary in nearby St Martins Court and have been here for one year.
The Court is proof that independent shops can survive and flourish. Customers will always go that extra mile to find something a bit more special.
